Coiling analysis of oil hoses

With the continuous development of marine oil extraction, the demand for marine oil pipelines is also increasing. Coiling analysis of oil hose string is an indispensable part of the structural design, inspection and verification process of oil hoses. During non-operation periods, oil hoses are prone to deformation or even damage due to the influence of the external environment. Therefore, coiling analysis can evaluate the strength and stability of the hose in storage to provide guarantee for subsequent use.

Marine oil hoses are important devices that connect offshore platforms or FPSO to tankers, and are used to transport crude oil. During non-operation periods, due to the influence of external factors such as weather and sea currents, the hose needs to be stored on the drum in some application scenarios, and deformation or damage may occur during the winding process, therefore it is very important to conduct winding analysis.

In order to evaluate the performance of oil hoses when coiled, the following analysis methods and evaluation criteria can be used:

(1) Numerical simulation method: Based on the principle of finite element analysis, the structural model of the hose can be established. The performance of the hose can be predicted by simulating the stress distribution and deformation of the hose under different winding bend radii and angles.

(2) Test method: Through the coiling and bending test, the stress, strain, deformation and other data of the hose can be measured, and compared with the design indicators to evaluate the performance of the hose.

(3) Standards: The industry's standards for oil hoses can be used as a reference for evaluating hose performance to ensure the safe and reliable use of hoses.

Through the coiling analysis of marine oil hoses, we can effectively prevent the deformation and damage caused by bending of the hose during non-operation, providing an important basis for the maintenance and repair of the hose. We can also detect and solve potential problems in time to ensure the safe operation of offshore oil transportation systems. Meanwhile, this will also help optimize the structural design of the hose and improve the efficiency and sustainable development of marine oil extraction.
